It is always fascinating to watch the osprey search the waters, hover over its prey and then fold its wings and dive - crashing into the water after an unsuspecting fish. When successful, an osprey rises from the surface, streaming water and holding its prize headfirst in its talons as it heads skyward. Ospreys are a common sight in the summer, hunting over any large body of water. In flight, their wings form a prominent 'M' shape with a wingspan of up to 6 feet.
